01 The documents

Seven documents cover almost every process.

These are the documents in the procurement pack, in the order a bid or onboarding form usually asks for them.

02 What it means on site

Compliance you can point to

Registration and certificates are only useful if they translate into a unit that is legal to tow, safe to operate and simple to put on an asset register. This is what each one means once the unit is on your site.

  • NRCS-registered facility: the trailer is built where the regulator expects it to be built, so registration and licensing proceed without a homologation query.
  • Roadworthy included: every unit is delivered with its road-worthy certificate, registered and licensed in your name.
  • SABS-aligned build: chassis, body and electrical work follow the applicable South African standards.
  • Gas and electrical certificates: issued at extra cost where the fit-out needs them, for example commercial kitchens and clinics with fixed electrical installations.
  • Clinical, food-safety and site permits stay with the operator: we supply the drawings and specification sheets those applications require.
  • 12-month warranty on every new build, with a named project manager for the life of the order.

03 From RFQ to handover

Four steps, one project manager.

  1. 01

    Scope or specification

Send your written specification, or tell us the service the unit must deliver, the headcount or patient volume and where it will operate.

  2. 02

    Quotation and drawing

We quote against the scope with a general-arrangement drawing and flag anything we would do differently. The procurement pack is issued alongside if you need it for the bid.

  3. 03

    Award and drawings sign-off

Layout, equipment, utilities and branding are documented and signed off before fabrication. A single project manager is named on the order.

  4. 04

    Build, compliance, handover

Standard models in 7 working days, custom builds to the agreed programme. Roadworthy, registration and licensing are done before delivery and commissioning on site.

04 Request the pack

05 Questions

What tender desks ask us.

Is Trailored a B-BBEE Level 1 supplier?

Yes. We are a B-BBEE Level 1 contributor for the current period. The certificate is issued through the procurement pack to a verified company email address; we do not publish certificate numbers on the website.

Are you registered on the Central Supplier Database?

Yes. Our CSD registration and commodity codes are included in the procurement pack so that a government or state-owned buyer can verify us before an order is raised.

What does NRCS registration mean for the buyer?

It means the trailer is built in a manufacturing facility registered with the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications. For you it means the unit can be registered and licensed for the road without a homologation problem after delivery. Gas and electrical compliance certificates for the fit-out are issued at extra cost where the scope requires them.

Who owns the unit and holds the registration?

You do. Road-worthy certification, registration and licensing are handled by us and the unit is delivered in your name, with ownership transferred on delivery.

Can you build to our own written specification?

Yes, and we prefer it. Our hazmat and spill-response trailer was priced and built clause by clause from the client's specification document. Send us the spec and we will quote against it and mark up anything we would change before the drawings are signed.

How quickly can you turn a tender request around?

The procurement pack is sent within one working day of a verified request. A quotation with a general-arrangement drawing typically follows within a few working days of receiving the scope, depending on how custom the unit is.

Which entity do we contract with?

The contracting entity, its registration number and VAT status are stated on the quotation and confirmed in the company registration documents in the pack. Ask your project manager if your vendor-onboarding system needs the details before the quote is issued.

Send the specification. We quote against it.
