The fridge trailer is a 2.0m x 1.5m towable cold room — mobile refrigerated storage for businesses that move stock to where the customers are. Event traders use it to keep beverages cold at festivals and sports days; butcheries and caterers use it to transport and hold meat safely; tavern and bottle-store owners use it as overflow cold storage during peak weekends.

Built with insulated double-panel walls at R55,000 with free roadworthy papers, it pairs naturally with any of Trailored's mobile kitchen trailers: one unit cooks while the other keeps stock and drinks cold, turning a single trading spot into a full food-and-beverage operation. For higher-volume operations, a larger 3m version with an 18 000 BTU cooling unit is also available. As with all our builds, registration is handled before delivery and the unit carries a 12-month warranty.

Model FAQ

Fridge Trailer: common questions

How is the fridge trailer powered?

It runs from a standard wall plug or extension lead — no special power supply needed. The 2m fridge uses a 12 000 BTU cooling unit; the larger 3m fridge steps up to an 18 000 BTU unit for bigger loads. Both hold roughly 0–8 °C, and we confirm the exact setup with your quote.

Is the fridge trailer insulated?

Yes — every fridge trailer is built with double-panel insulated walls and a galvanised floor with a floor board. That insulation is what lets the cooling unit hold temperature efficiently through long, hot days.

Can it be used with a mobile kitchen trailer?

Yes — that is one of the most common setups. The kitchen trailer handles cooking and serving while the fridge trailer keeps drinks and stock cold alongside it, sold from the same spot.
