The 3m fridge trailer is the larger, more powerful version of our towable cold room — 3.0m x 1.5m of refrigerated space cooled by an 18 000 BTU unit. It is built for operators who outgrow the 2m fridge: bigger beverage runs at festivals, more meat for catering and butchery jobs, and longer holding through hot, all-day outdoor events.
At R65,000, built with insulated double-panel walls, it tows on a single axle behind a standard bakkie, runs off a normal wall plug or extension lead, and arrives with free roadworthy papers, registration handled, and a 12-month warranty. Pair it with a Trailored mobile kitchen to run a full food-and-beverage operation from one spot.
Who it's for
- High-volume beverage and ice sellers at large events and festivals
- Butcheries and caterers moving bigger loads of chilled stock
- Taverns and bottle stores needing serious weekend overflow capacity
- Operators who found the 2m fridge trailer too small
Popular uses
- Cold drink sales at large festivals, matches, and community events
- Bulk meat and perishable transport for catering contracts
- Mobile cold storage at busy markets and pop-ups
- Paired deployment alongside a Trailored mobile kitchen
Model FAQ
3m Fridge Trailer: common questions
How is the 3m fridge trailer different from the 2m model?
It is a metre longer (3.0m versus 2.0m) with more internal storage, and it uses a more powerful 18 000 BTU cooling unit instead of the 12 000 BTU unit on the 2m fridge — the better choice for higher volumes and longer holding in hot conditions. The 3m model is R65,000 versus R55,000 for the 2m.
How is the 3m fridge trailer powered?
From a standard 220V wall plug or extension lead — no special supply needed. The 18 000 BTU unit holds roughly 0–8 °C, and we confirm the exact setup with your quote.
Can it be used with a mobile kitchen trailer?
Yes — that is one of the most common setups. The kitchen handles cooking and serving while the 3m fridge trailer keeps drinks and stock cold alongside it, sold from the same spot.
